Barry Clark
Barry is the living incarnate of Gambrinus himself and is considered to be the original Ale Missionary for the Province of Durham. Honoured to be Primus WM of the lodge Baz has been working to promote masonic beer lodges representing the NE as part of the MCBS since 2020.

Trevor Greenwell
Initiated into Eardulph Lodge No.6645 in 2008, WM in 2016. Member of the Durham Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge until promoted to PPSGD in 2024. Loves good beer and great football, season ticket holder at Newcastle United since the 1980’s. Always hopeful we might win something one day – Howay the Lads!!!

Peter Hamblin
A third generation Mason, I have been in the craft for over 30 years. WM of Maritima Lodge 2000. Exalted into Royal Arch PZ of West Kent and Merchant Navy Lodge 1297 and Wood Green Chapter 2426 received LGCR honours. Recently retired, though depending on how bored I am with not working may return to the fray!

Initiated into Eardulph Lodge 6645 in 2010, Worshipful Master in 2017 also Secretary of Eardulph Lodge since 2019. Active in arranging events to support the MCF. Having a long history of perfecting the consumption of craft ales, I’ve also dabbled in brewing beer using a Grain father, Gambrinus Lodge is the perfect next step!

I joined Lumley Lodge 5807 in 2009, taking the chair in 2023 and where I met several future Gambrinus members, also as WM I had the privilege of signing the petition for Gambrinus Lodge. Outside of Freemasonry I work in business consulting, I have a keen interest in board games and tabletop wargames as well as beer – if I can combine the two… even better!

Initiated in 2009, Moving steadily up ‘the ladder’ and the chair of the lodge in 2019 and due to lockdown remained in the chair for another 2 years after which I received my first appointment to PPGStwd. Married to Lorraine running our own events business.

Member of Wear Valley Lodge No.1121, Happily married to my wife Ann since 2011, one son [from a previous relationship] and an extended family, including 4 cats. An ardent Australophile, honorary Queenslander, LGBTQ+ ally and advocate for military veterans. Lover of real ale, whisky, Chinese food and Star Trek.

Andy left Essex aged 18 and travelled north to undertake missionary work – teaching the natives how to speak English. Initiated into Sunderland Lodge 4114 in 1999 becoming WM in 2005 & 2006. Founding member of the Durham Provincial Grand Steward Lodge and Acting PrAGDC in 2012. Moved Lumley Lodge 5807 in 2015, he became WM in 2017. Andy is married to Louise and they have one son, Matthew.

Currently also a member of Lodge of Sportsmen 9823 in the Province of Northumberland and Spirit of Rugby 9910 in Durham. I am well known as a petrol head who does an annual trip to the place all petrol heads should visit at least once…. the Nürburgring.

Honoured by Provincial Grand Lodge in 2023 and appointed to Acting Asst Grand Director of Ceremonies, promoted in 2024 to Past Grand Sword Bearer. Also in the Royal Arch, Knights Templar & Red Cross of Constantine. Outside of Masonry I can be found at my running club or enjoying real ale with my friends.

Paul is MD for several businesses in the Northeast ranging from Computer software to Fire Sprinklers. Initiated into Eardulph Lodge 6645 in 2005 following in my father’s footsteps, later found out I was the 4th generation of my family to join Masonry in Chester-le-Street. I became Master of the Lodge in 2010. Promoted in Provincial Grand Lodge as acting Junior Deacon in 2017. Also active in Chapter, Royal Ark Mariners, Knights Templar and in the Mark Degree I was appointed to Grand Rank in 2023.

Joined Wear Valley Lodge in 2005 and in the following years joined 7 other orders (with more to follow!). I am a member of the DC team in the Provincial Grand Stewards lodge. Outside of Masonry I have many interests included beer (obviously!), wargaming, Dungeons & Dragons. Currently employed as the Head of R&D technology is also a passion of mine.

Outside of Masonry I do voluntary work with young people at Beamish museum, parish councillor for Pelton parish Council and active within the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, always out and about with them on expeditions.

I‘m an Electrical Engineer in Oil & Gas married to Kathryn, we live in Gateshead. Kathryn like myself thinks a special interest lodge combining my love of Real Ales and Freemasonry is just perfect!

Previously worked in General and R&D management positions in heavy engineering. I still enjoy playing golf and walking, but not too far nowadays!
